Question by Juan D: can i get by with only one kettlebell or should i buy 2?
i want to get into kettlebells. they seem pretty expensive so i was wondering if id be okay to do a wide variety of exercises with only one or should i get 2.

I thought about getting them but the price of S&H scared me off. the question you should be asking is what size should you get. I did some reading of various forums in my research and they said “don’t let pride get in your way, go for the lower weight” that was after someone asked if he should get a 35 or a 45 pounder.

If you only have one, you are going to limit yourself as you’ll need different weights to challenge yourself properly on different moves. For instance, you’d probably use a much heavier weight on two arm swings than you would on a 1 arm snatch.

But, you’re right, they are pricey and the S&H can kill you. Check out http://www.kettlestacks.com/ . They have a very cool alternative that I use in my studio.
