It’s true. Basically uses some of the same muscles as kegel exercises.

… I’ve never heard such bullshit. No, it’s not true.

Thank you for the instruction. Girlfriend and I just got into kettlebells and are very excited. Is it true that swings improve tone in women’s special place?

I kept it too close once on the way back down. That was a really bad day.

It all depends on your form and what weight you are using. You can do anywhere from 15-50 swings at once. And repeat anywhere from 2 -8 times depending on what you are going for. So it’s all relative!! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. How many sets & reps should be done?

Thanks again.

coming t o low “come to low, hurt your back” is actually another kb swing. One can correctly do the deeper squat version w out hurting the back as long as ebough explosiveness is placed in the middle of concentric effort during the squat. This way actually uses less low back, and allows better building of quads, both are correct though.

Kettleball has improved my punching power after only couple months of training. But I was taught to to bend knees more when going down?

Ryan, There is no forcing going on with swinging the kettlebell. Locking out your knees gives you the most power to be able to swing heavier bells and is not damaging to your knees in the least if you do not hyper extend. As far as bending them as I go back, keeping your weight mostly on your heels is completely safe ESPECIALLY for heavier bells. I am 110 lb and can swing a 70 lb bell with ease as long as I follow these directions. Good luck!

Hey nice video.
You give a couple of good tips but Id like to offer one also.
It seems that when you get to the top of the swing you lockout ur knees.
I believe its ok to straighten your legs all the way but your motion is really jarring towards the end, ur really force those knees back, I think this could be potentially damaging to ur knees especially with heaver kettlebells

Good instruction Lauren, I’m going to forward these to my sister as she is getting started with kettlebells, and I don’t have much up on the basics on my dopey page yet. :)

I think women would start doing kettlebells more if they realized that it makes them better at love making and just plain sexier. I have yet to see a female kettlebeller who was not sexy.

Can you do the same KB exercise routine everyday or are all resistance training the same with lifting every other day giving the body a day to recover? I understand you can do cardio everyday.
