I like the Kettlebells but I like Scott Sonnons circular strenth clubbell. It is simalar to the kettlebell but in club form and you can do more and provide a slightly different workout. With clubbell you can get more a complete circular (all direction) workout. take a look, you will be supprised.</p>

Please can anyone suggest a good workout that will give me good cardio and all round body toning and strenthening. I want it to last about 40mins.<br />

<p><i>Answer by gtrgy888</i><br/>First, welcome to kettlebells.  They are cannonballs with handles.  I assume you know correct form.  If you don&#8217;t, do some serious research to avoid injury.</p>
<p>My favorite cardio killer workout at the moment is a simple but brutal mixture of kettlebell swings and calisthenics.  I call it Bud Jeffrie&#8217;s Bastard after the RKC who invented it.  It works the abs and posterior chain (the entire back of the body), both of which power about 80% of all locomotive movement.  It has made me capable of running long distances, lifting heavy things, and seducing women with a steely gaze.  The workout goes like this:</p>
<p>Do 10 swings (with both hands or 5 swings per hand) followed by 3 hanging leg raises.  Do this with minimal rest until you&#8217;ve amassed 100 swings.  </p>
<p>Your cardio endurance, muscle definition, and strength will develop very quickly once you can complete it nonstop in perfect form with a decent sized kettlebell.  Work up slow or face the consequences.</p>
<p>For the hanging leg raise, you hang from a pullup bar with your shoulders tucked down and your arms and legs straight.  Then, using your hip flexors and abs, you pull your straight legs up to touch the bar and slowly lower them.  It is a very challenging movement.  If you can&#8217;t do it yet, just pull your knees to your chest, straighten your legs, then slowly lower your legs back down.  No swinging.  Save that for the kettlebell.  Keep your abs and glutes tight to avoid lower back injury.  If your lower back hurts, stop working out and try again another day.  Injuries aren&#8217;t productive.</p>
<p>Throughout the workout, occasionally replace leg raises with other strength calisthenics like 1 legged squats, 1 armed pushups, regular pushups, pullups, dips, or bodyweight squats.</p>
<p>If you do this about 2 times per week, you should get in great shape fast, depending on the size of the kettlebell.</p>

<p>Kettlebell workout routines are short and intense. They are easy to fit into even the busiest of schedules and provide great results. You can use kettlebells anywhere, meaning you can workout at home and don&#8217;t need to go to the gym three times a week! If you travel a lot kettlebells are great because they can easily fit in your car. Having this kind of flexibility with your workout routine will help you achieve better results, faster.</p>
<p>kettlebell workouts are fun and challenging. If you are doing a full kettlebell workout or kettlebells are just a part of your workout, they will be an exciting and an incredibly effective addition to your workout routine. Kettlebells require your full attention and are a very engaging way to exercise, it is nothing like half an hour on the treadmill. The exercises you do will require lots of secondary muscles that you wouldn&#8217;t normally use with most exercises.</p>
<p>Kettlebells are one of the most simplistic pieces of exercise equipment. Since they are basically just a ball and a handle they are very dynamic, you are unlimited in the number of different exercises you can do. You can use the humble kettlebell to target any muscle in the body. This also means that simple variations of exercises can target different muscles or increase resistance, giving you a tougher workout.</p>
<p>A kettlebell basically looks like a cannonball with a handle on it. They usually weight anything from two to forty five kilograms or between five and one hundred pounds. The variations in weight mean kettlebell workouts are suitable for basically any age or fitness level. </a></strong></strong></p>
<p>The problem with most people&#8217;s workout routines is that they are boring and repetitive. If you want to achieve long term fitness goals most people need a workout routine that is stimulating and enjoyable, one that they can look forward to. The swinging movements used in kettlebell workouts requires you to concentrate on balancing the kettlebell and controlling your movements. You do not need the same kind of focus when you are simply counting reps.</p>
<p>It is possible to do a full workout with just one kettlebell, however kettlebells of different weights can be used to target specific muscles. Exercising with a kettlebell will give you a full body workout as all the primary muscles will be used, your core muscles will get the best workout. When swinging the kettlebell simply altering the direction of motion or the movement will target a different muscle.</p>
<p>Kettlbell workouts are so effective because you need to use your whole body, not isolated muscle groups. They combine cardio, strength training and are excellent for fat loss. Since you are not just targeting isolated muscles you will gain a lot more functional strength. Functional strength means day to day tasks will become easier.</p>
<p>If you are tired of going to the gym then kettlebells offer a fun and convenient solution. Wether you are young or old, beginner or expert, kettlebells can be encorporated in to your workout routine.</p>

Take it easy and progress slowly as swings will really peg the heart rate as you&#8217;ll find out soon enough and always watch your form. I can tell you that you should keep a typical workout under 40 minutes. Outside of that, go nuts.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s several 20 minute routines. You can also time yourself for swings and snatches, say ten minutes, then try to improve how many you can do in that time frame. Take rests between sets!</p>

<p><strong>Full Body Workout Programs For Men &#8211; Full Body Heavy Workout Programs</strong></p>
<p>I am going to give you two different sets of full body heavy workout programs. The first is for use with barbells and dumbbells. The second is for use with kettle bells.</p>
<p>Workout program 1.</p>
<p>If you do this for just a half hour a day for days a week with two sets for each exercise with one to five repetitions lifting about 80% of your max you will get a great full body workout and notice your strength increasing quickly. </a></strong></p>
<p>Day 1: Bench press, clean and jerk, dumbbell snatches, squats. <br />Day 2: Dead lift, bent over rows, chin ups, single armed barbell curls <br />Day 3: Lunges, military press, dumbbell swings, dips <br />Day 4: Straight legged dead lift, pull ups, renegade rows and single armed barbell curls.</p>
<p>Workout program 2.</p>
<p>This workout is designed to burn fat, increase your heart rate, endurance and stamina and strength. Men typically use a 35 lb. kettle bell and women use a 25 lb. It is designed to be a cycle. Do one exercise and then rest a few seconds before you do another. When you get to the end of the exercises start again. Do this as many times as you can.</p>
<p>Day 1: Two handed swings, one handed swings, one arm clean, Turkish get up, one arm military press, squats. <br />Day 2: One arm swings, Turkish get up, one arm clean and press, one legged dead lift, lunges, one arm snatch, squats, two arm swings. <br />Day 3: Squats, hand to hand swings, windmills, get up sit up, double clean and press, one arm snatch. </a></strong></p>

<p>When it comes to doing strength training, most of us have the same vision: a massive gym filled with roaring, grunting men, racks of rusting free weights and barbells. None of it sounds very appealing, which is why most of us aren&#8217;t racing to the gym for that reason. However, a new kind of workout is starting to make the rounds, which involves kettlebells instead of freeweights. What exactly is this workout, what are its benefits, and can this different and unique style of strength training be for you? In today&#8217;s article we examine the potential benefits of a kettlebell workout, and see if might be the perfect solution to your gym woes.</p>
<p>The kettlebell looks like a traditional kettle, a round body with a loop attached to the top. Originally designed by the Russians, it improves strength training by engaging the whole body instead of isometrically training just the arms. To workout with kettle bells, you bend your legs and often swing the bell up into the sky, using your whole body to do so. This results in not only fat burning but also an excellent core workout. Here are a few sample exercises to give you an idea as to what you might be in for.</p>
<p>The first is the one arm swing. Grab your kettle bell with one hand, and then stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Lower down into a half squat and then straighten your legs and back, raising the kettlebell to waist height before crouching and lowering it again. This should be a natural swinging move that you build up a rhythm, burning your butt, legs, lower back, shoulder and forearms as you go.</p>
<p>Another great exercise are the Figure Eights. To perform this, you&#8217;re going to get into a squat, legs nice and wide apart and bent at the knees. Hold the kettlebell in your right hand, and then pass it over your right knee and behind the left, where you hand it over to your left hand. Bring the kettlebell around the front of your left knee, cross it and then behind the right. You should start tracing a figure 8 about your legs, attempting to do so for at least fifteen reps before standing up. This should work out your butt, your hamstrings, your quads, lower back, and shoulders.</p>
